Here''s To Me Being Me
HERE’S TO ME BEING ME - Hexaptych, 44”x44”. In a world of constant judgement, fear, and assumptions (of which I am guilty), we have a choice to see the beauty in people who are different from us. On my quest to find the best hamburger, I met Lisa who works at an establishment that is on my “burgers to try“ list. She is definitely unique. Her persona of grandly braided dreads, rainbow glitter eyeshadow, and jewelry adornment that rivals Mr. T’s is quite noticeable. When talking to Lisa, I sensed another side or her that was camouflaged by her outward appearance. At that moment, I knew I wanted to paint her. My goal was to capture the dichotomy of her wild and kind sides. SOLD.

Tokyo Opera Rose - One of my favorite go to reds is opera rose. The hue was fun to incorporate in the shading of the geisha’s white make up and lip coloring. I am drawn to the mystery and beauty of the geisha — What is truly underneath her own applied face paint. 14”x 10” - Sold
Bird's Eye View - My stepfather was a good sport posing for this painting because he is a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan. Each one of us is multifaceted. What one sees in one person may be viewed differently by another. 28”x18” - Sold
